This is a fairly well-known band in and around NYC. They come from Rockland Co., NY, just north of NYC and they've been together since 2000. I just heard of them through a friend who just joined the band. Mike Fregonese was born and raised in Pearl River, NY, hooked up with them and started to practice with them, catching up with them as they were going out for a few stops on the '05 Warped Tour. Mike did not make the trip, but he has ben with them since and played a few shows with them. He sent me to their website, www.cheatinsoccermom.com, and I listened to some of their music and have been hooked ever since. We are eagerly waiting for the new cd to come out. These guys definitely rock.

Mike and I went to college together and he is probably the main reason that I got into punk and emo. He turned me on to some good bands before anyone else ever heard of them. He was the one telling me about Good Charlotte and New Found Glory before anyone ever saw a video of theirs on MTV. Once again, Mike has not steered me wrong with Cheatin Soccer Mom.
